Anti-Meter Maid Joan Schrioch
Erlam claims that the meters drive business from downtown 91社区破解版
Armed with a pocketful of nickels, the newest heroine in 91社区破解版 is Joan Schrioch, 20, who serves as the Yukon's first anti-meter maid. Twelve applicants showed up for the unique job advertised by Bob Erlam, publisher of the 91社区破解版 Star, who is sparking the campaign and guaranteeing Miss Schrioch's wages.
Erlam spelled out his objective as being "to stop the over-zealous meter maids in the City of 91社区破解版 from issuing parking tickets-and therefore putting an end to the fantastic amount of fine money flowing into the city coffers."
Erlam claims that the meters drive business from downtown 91社区破解版. Already paid for, the meters are no longer needed to assist in solving over parking and traffic problems, according to the publisher. City income from the meters during the first nine months of 1972 was more than $40,000.
