The Experts beat their rival Yukon Built Wookies 2-1 in the third overtime to capture the crown at the broomball rink in Takhini in 91社区破解版.

The Wookies took a penalty with 3:12 left in the third. (In broomball, it鈥檚 a three minute penalty.)

91社区破解版 Experts leading scorer Gabriel Nadon took advantage, scoring a power play goal with only 48.9 seconds left in the period.

The score was knotted at 1s going into overtime, which consisted of the following sudden-death formats:

Five minutes of four-on-four with goalies and two females per team.

Five minutes of three-on-three with goalies and one female per team.

Five minutes of three-on-three without goalies with one female per team.

The first overtime was scoreless.

The second overtime featured what looked like a sure goal by the Wookies鈥� Cody-Lynn Claggett that the 91社区破解版 Experts goalie, Tomas Tokic, made an amazing save on.

In the third overtime, Gabriel Nadon took a pass from his brother Nicolas and sealed the deal.

The Star spoke with Gabriel after the game.

鈥淲e played them on Wednesday and won 6-1,鈥� he recalled. 鈥淚t was a really good game for us. Obviously, they came back stronger today. They got the jump on us late in the third.鈥�

Gabriel described the last-minute tying goal he scored with an assist from brother Nicolas.

鈥淕reat pass. Shot it towards the goalie and I got the rebound and just poked it in.鈥�

Gabriel then related how the overtime went.

鈥淓verybody鈥檚 tired. Not running as much. My tactic usually 鈥� because I know that my brother and I have enough gas in the tank and we鈥檙e fast 鈥� I usually just wait until our third overtime.鈥�

Gabriel described the championship winner.

鈥淲e were two on one 鈥� it鈥檚 easy-ish to score two on one, especially when there鈥檚 no one in the net.

鈥淚t was a great pass (from Nicolas). I hesitated. I just wanted to make sure I didn鈥檛 miss that one. I missed the net a couple times during the game and I didn鈥檛 want to recreate that moment. If I can, I鈥檓 gonna take that extra second every time.鈥�

Nicolas Nadon thought it was a 鈥渧ery close game.鈥�

鈥淭hey were second in the standings. We were first in the standings, so it was a good representation of the season. Strong teams. Strong game. 1-1 tie up until triple overtime. That doesn鈥檛 happen often. It鈥檚 very exciting when it does.

鈥淚 think everyone had fun. For me, that鈥檚 the main thing. I just want everybody to have fun. It鈥檚 just a game.鈥�

As for playing with his family and having him and his brother combine for the winning goal, Nicolas said, 鈥淚 feel lucky. I guess not many people have a chance to do that. We have good chemistry together.鈥�

The Nadon boys have been playing together about eight years.
